On Launchpad, you have access to all of your Mac apps, regardless of where they are installed on your computer. While you can expect few problems on Launchpad with apps installed in the Applications folder, the same can't be said for titles downloaded and stored elsewhere. Occasionally, installed apps aren't showing up under Launchpad. For all of us current iOS users, deleting an app makes sense from the Launchpad. However, you cannot delete apps that you installed outside of the Mac App Store. For non-Mac App Store apps, I found I had to hide them from LaunchPad. One way to do that is to zip them up, put the originals in the Trash and Empty it. Then go into LaunchPad and click on the. I’m no longer certain how many Mac users make use of Launchpad to open and access their applications, but it’s still quite a useful tool.
As well as letting you access software installed on your Mac, one of Launchpad’s lesser known features is the ability to delete software you no longer need.
Most Mac users delete items directly from within the Applications folder, or (far better) use tools such as AppZapper, which doesn’t just delete the app but also gets rid of all the cruft the app may leave behind.

Launchpad lets you delete apps another way:
Just open it up — tap the icon in the Dock, or press F4.
Now Launchpad is open press and hold the Option
You’ll see all the app icons begin trembling, just as you see them behave on iOS.
You will see an X icon appear above any app that you can manage from Launchpad.
You can then click the X icon to delete that particular app.
It’s not perfect: I have noticed applications purchased from outside of the App Store apps don’t always support this, but it should come in handy if you want to delete an app quickly.

Unlike Windows, on a Mac, applications and a user's working space are separated. Typically, programs on Mac are stored in the Application folder while users' preference files are kept in the Library folder. All files about the app are packaged together inside the Application folder, which means everything relating to the app is stored in one place.
If you find your app in the Application folder, right-click the app and select shows package contents, you'll see various files. So, when you delete it, you can delete everything relating to the app.
Uninstall Applications from Launchpad
Another alternative is to use Launchpad, which offers a convenient way to uninstall applications downloaded from App Store.
1Click Launchpad, represented by a spaceship in your Mac Dock. (or click on F4)
2Scroll through the list of your installed apps, then locate the application you want to delete.
3Click and hold the app until a cross appears on the icon. (or press the Option/Alt key)
4Click the cross button in the upper left of the app icon.
To exit deletion mode, simply click anywhere on the screen that's no occupied by an app icon.
Completely Uninstall Apps on Mac
Sometimes, the methods mentioned above may not completely delete all the files relating to the apps, such as some of your preference files. And you need to remove these files from the Library folder. Here will introduce how to do that.
1Go to the Library folder: open Finder and click Go in the top bar, when the menu shows, click the Option/Alt key.
